About Us

What We’re All About

We offer flexible childcare for babies and children from 7 months to 8 years old between the hours of

7.30am & 5.30pm, we are open 5 days a week all year round except bank holidays and 1 week at Christmas.

We have been established since January 2017, serving the old town and surrounding areas. The ages are mixed for some of the day to provide a nurturing, homely environment which helps your child build on the skills they already have.  The manager and staff help children feel settled and happy so they can develop and become confident, sociable children and ready for school.

We also offer nutritious home cooked meals on site which encourages social skills and independence.

The nursery is surrounded by 3 local infant, junior and primary schools which are easily accessible by walking.

The nursery has a big open space to play and explore.  Within the space, we have a baby area and sensory room which help the little ones feel safe and able to learn through their senses.

It also has a large garden attached to the side.  The outside space has climbing equipment, mud kitchen with digging and planting areas.

Polegate has been opened for 4 years now ! it has the same nurturing ethos,

with the same opening times.

Please come and see the nurseries for yourself, contact Becky for a visit on 07485 147294

Art Lessons

We offer a wide range of art based activities to help the children develop important skills and express themselves.

They have a balance between adult led and child initiated activities. We encourage children to explore through their senses and use materials like dough, slime, cornflour, sand, water and paint.

Sensory Play

The sensory play area helps younger children feel safe and develop learning skills using their senses.

Outdoor Play

We have a safe enclosed play area onsite which helps children have fun and enjoy outdoor activities. The children can participate in forest school activities such as mixing mud potions, growing vegetables and exploring the natural world. The children have opportunities to climb like monkeys on the frame and slide. The garden has reading dens and lots of space to practice their physical skills.

Playing & Learning

Children learn best through play and the adults and children who are around them. They use their senses to explore their surroundings. Step by Step, we feel children can only do this once they feel secure to do so. We have a nurturing and warm environment which quickly helps children to do this so that they can continue their learning.

Universal childcare entitlement means all 3 and 4 year olds can have up to 15 hours of free childcare each week for 38 weeks of the year.

You can access 30hrs per week term time only, if you work 16 hrs or more. This can be stretched to 22.5 hrs per week all year round - you will need to apply for a code - see link below.
